Rui Pelejão nasceu em Lisboa em 1973 e é jornalista especializado em automobilismo. Licenciado em Comunicação Social pelo ISCSP, começou a carreira no Jornal do Fundão. Foi depois redator, chefe de redação e diretor de publicações como Jornal dos Clássicos, Autosport e Volante. Colaborou ainda com o semanário Expresso e a revista Exame. É coordenador e apresentador do programa Volante (da SIC Notícias) e autor do blogue de automóveis e viagens, Grande Turismo. Entusiasta da Fórmula 1, tem uma predileção pelos falecidos Gilles Villeneuve e Ayrton Senna, sobre o qual escreve este seu primeiro livro.
