Rui N. Moreira. Licenciou-se em Engenharia Mecânica, ramo de Termodinâmica Aplicada. Fez o estágio e inscreveu-se na Ordem. Quis entretanto ficar a conhecer os fundamentos da engenharia com mais detalhe, tendo então resolvido frequentar o curso de Física da Faculdade de Ciências da Universidade de Lisboa. Acabou a tentar entender os fundamentos da actividade científica, sendo doutorado em História e Filosofia das Ciências pela Universidade de Lisboa.
