Rui Miguel Gomes

Rui Miguel Gomes (Lisbon, 1979) holds a PhD in Communication Sciences – specializing in Media and Journalism Studies from the Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities of the Nova University of Lisbon. He also holds a Master's degree from the same faculty in Communication Sciences – Audiovisual, Multimedia and Interactivity. Author of the book The Importance of the Internet for Journalists and Information Sources (2009), among other articles on the subject, he began his professional career as a journalist in August 2005 at the newspaper O Jogo, where he currently works. He is a member and researcher at the Center for Media and Journalism Research (CIMJ).
