Rui Manuel Brás
Rui Manuel Brás é doutorado em Estudos de Cultura pela Universidade Católica Portuguesa com a tese Agón, Pathos, Katharsis. A memória das origens nos filmes de exílio de Andrei Tarkovsky. Leciona Géneros Cinematográficos na licenciatura de Comunicação e Cultura, da Faculdade de Ciências Humanas da Universidade Católica Portuguesa. É investigador do Centro de Estudos de Comunicação e Cultura, integrado na Linha de Investigação CULTCIT (Art, Culture and Citizenship). Na área dos Estudos Fílmicos, para além da obra de Andrei Tarkovsky, tem desenvolvido investigação sobre cinema russo contemporâneo e géneros cinematográficos.
Rui Manuel Brás holds a PhD in Culture Studies by the Portuguese Catholic University. His thesis is on the memory of the origins in Andrei Tarkovsky’s exile films. He is teacher of Film Genres at the Portuguese Catholic University. He is a researcher at the Research Centre for Communication and Culture, in the research line "Art, Culture and Citizenship" (CULTCIT). Besides studies on Tarkovsky’s work, he has also developed research on contemporary Russian cinema and film genres.
