Além de escritora, Rosario Raro, nascida a 1971 em Segorbe, em Espanha, é também doutorada em Filologia Hispânica e, desde 2004, é professora de Escrita Criativa na Universitat Jaume I. Redigiu artigos para a imprensa, incluindo o El País, e tem quatro romances publicados. Ganhou o Prémio Magda Portal do Ministério da Mulher do Perú, país onde viveu durante quase uma década, e o prestigiado Prémio Ciudad de Huelva, entre outros galardões.
