Rosa Marreiros nasceu em Estômbar, Lagoa (Algarve) e vive em Coimbra. É licenciada em História pela Universidade de Coimbra e doutorada pela mesma Universidade com a dissertação de doutoramento: Propriedade fundiária e rendas da coroa no reinado de D. Dinis. Guimarães, 2 vols, (1990).
É Professora Associada aposentada da Faculdade de Letras da Univeridade de Coimbra, membro do Centro de Históra da Sociedade e da Cultura e especializada na área da História Rural. Para além de múltiplos artigos em Revistas da especialidade, publicou A faixa do botim de D. Afonso V nos Painéis de Nuno Gonçalves: Um calcanhar de Aquiles?, 2ª edição, Coimbra, Ed. Autor, 2004.
