Ronald Higgins
Ronald Higgins was a diplomat and journalist with interests ranging from ecology to public health policy. He was a lecturer in Sociology at London School of Economics and taught at Oxford University before serving in the Diplomatic Service from 1945 to 1968, when he joined the Observer.
He has been a writer since the mid-1970s. freelanceHe published, among other things: The Seventh Enemy: The Human Factor in the Global Crisis and Plotting PeaceShe also wrote about health, including ethical issues in reproductive medicine.
He is the President of Champernowne Trust for Psychotherapy and, since 1991, Vice-President of Herefordshire Community Health NHS Trust.
