Bachelor's degree in Business Administration and Management from UCP (Lisbon, 1984), he began his teaching career in the 1985/86 academic year at the Emídio Navarro Secondary School (Viseu). In 1989 he joined the Higher School of Technology and Management of the Polytechnic Institute of Viseu (ESTGV) where he is an Adjunct Professor. He has always taught Financial Calculus (Financial Mathematics), both in secondary and higher education, not only at his own institution, but also at others, as a Visiting Professor, in undergraduate and postgraduate courses. Currently he holds the position of Pro-President of Educational Modernization at the Polytechnic of Viseu. He is a member of the Order of Economists and the Order of Certified Accountants.
