Robert Resnick

Robert Resnick (1923-2014) foi Professor emérito de Física do Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI), que o incluiu no seu Hall of Fame em 2003. Concluiu o bacharelado e recebeu o título de Ph.D. em Física pela Johns Hopkins University. Foi membro do corpo docente da University of Pittsburgh (Pitt). Recebeu a medalha Oersted – o mais alto prémio concedido pela American Association of Physics Teachers (AAPT), da qual também foi presidente. Assim como David Halliday, em reconhecimento do seu destaque na área, a AAPT criou um importante prémio, o David Halliday and Robert Resnick Award for Excellence in Undergraduate Physics Teaching.
