Rita Sousa Gomes

Licenciada em Medicina pela Faculdade de Medicina da Universidade de Lisboa, em 2007, completou o Internato Complementar de Pediatria Médica no Hospital Santa Maria em 2015. É pediatra geral e, ao longo da sua prática, desenvolveu especial interesse por áreas como a Alergologia e a Obesidade Infantil.
Além de pediatra, é mãe de duas crianças, uma vivência que moldou pro­fundamente a forma como exerce a sua profissão. Ser mãe trouxe-lhe uma perspetiva mais próxima das preocupações dos pais e mostrou-lhe como a empatia é tão essencial quanto o conhecimento técnico. É também cofundadora do projeto Bê à Bá da Pediatria, uma plataforma onde partilha conteúdos e reflexões para apoiar os pais no cuidado dos seus filhos.
