Rita Fonseca nasceu em junho de 1989, na cidade de Lisboa, e sempre teve uma enorme paixão pelas artes e pelo mundo fantástico das crianças. A magia dos livros, desde cedo, lhe despertou o gosto pela ilustração, sonho que realizou com O Estranho Apetite de Belemundo. Psicóloga de formação, tem exercido a sua atividade profissional na área da saúde mental infantil, tendo ao longo da sua carreira completado a sua experiência profissional em áreas de cariz social.
