Rita Simas Bonança é Licenciada em Educação de Infância, mestre em Educação, com especialização em Administração e Organização Escolar, pós-graduada em Educação Especial, com especialização no Domínio Cognitivo-Motor, e doutorada em Educação. De 2018 a 2025 assumiu o cargo de diretora na Associação Portuguesa de Dislexia – Polo Açores. Atualmente, é investigadora no Ci&DEI. É coautora da obra Kit de Ferramentas – Dislexia, e autora de diversas obras e artigos científicos.
