Richard Towers, pseudónimo de Martinho Fernando Alves Torres, nasce a 14 de janeiro de 1974 em França (Saint Germain-en-Laye, Paris). Radica-se em Portugal em 1984, em Guimarães, onde conclui os seus estudos secundários. Em 2000, licencia-se em ensino de Português e Francês, pela Universidade de Trás-os-Montes e Alto Douro. Após vinte anos de experiência na música, período em que gravou quatro discos, decide centrar-se em definitivo na escrita e funda a sua própria editora (Neoma Produções). Dedica-se então de forma incessante à escrita, criando obras completamente inovadoras. É neste contexto que nasce o livro-relógio Tempo (2011), o livro-espelho Reflexos (2011), o livro-xadrez O Desafio (2012), o livro-caixão O Caixão Prateado (2013) e o livro-coração Tarasutra – O Livro dos Amantes, os quais se inscrevem num novo movimento – o livro-objeto.
