Ricardo Neves (1972-2015), born in Lisbon, was ordained a priest in 1997. For almost a decade and a half, he was closely involved in the formation of seminarians under the jurisdiction of the Patriarchate, initially in Setúbal (São Paulo de Almada Seminary) and later in Lisbon (São José de Caparide Seminary). In 2011 he began serving as parish priest of the Santo Antônio do Estoril community. He died on August 6, 2015, from cancer. All those who knew him during his illness emphasize the serenity that emanated from him, a result of his boundless trust in God.
