Ricardo de Sousa Antunes nasceu em Lisboa, em 1972. É enfermeiro especialista em Saúde Mental e Psiquiatria, doutorado em Sociologia pelo ISCTE e com uma pós-graduação em Análise de Dados. Trabalhou em equipas de saúde multidisciplinares em Angola, Iraque e Timor-Leste, em parceria com instituições locais e transnacionais, como a OMS, a UNICEF e a ONU. Atualmente, é professor na Egas Moniz School of Health and Science e desenvolve investigação, com uma vasta publicação de artigos científicos nas áreas da saúde, desigualdades sociais e envelhecimento demográfico.
