O Autor nasceu a 15 de outubro de 1980, em Poçacos – Valpaços.

É Capitão de Infantaria da GNR, Licenciado em Ciências Militares, especialidade GNR, pela Academia Militar, Pós-Graduado em estudos Europeus pela FCSH-UNL e em Direito e Segurança pela FDUNL, Mestre em Ciência Política e Relações Internacionais, pela FCSH-UNL, Doutor em Realações Internacionais pela FCSH-UNL especialidade de História e teoria das relações internacionais pelas FCSH-UNL, Auditor de Política externa Nacional pelo Instituto Diplomático do MNE, Auditor de segurança interna pela FDUNL, curso de especialização em informações e segurança pelo ISCSP-UTL , curso de gestão civil de crises em ambiente multilateral, pelo IDN , Investigador do Instituto do Oriente do ISCSP-UTL, Instituto Português de Relações Internacionais ( IPRI-UNL ), Membro /sócio da Associação Portuguesa de Ciência Política.

Ex-colunista convidado do Diário de Notícias. Tem vários artigos publicados na Revista Militar, Revista da Academia Militar – Proelium, Estratégia, IPRIS – Lusophone Countries Bulletin, Nação e Defesa.
