Rebecca Stead é uma autora bestseller de livros para crianças e jovens, já foi nomeada e venceu vários prémios internacionais, como a Medalha Newbery ou o prémio Guardian na categoria de Ficção Infantil. Rebecca acredita que a coisa mais importante a saber sobre a escrita é que não existem propriamente regras. E depois de anos a criar histórias para adultos, que nunca saíram da gaveta, decidiu reler todos os livros que a fizeram feliz em criança e começar a escrever para os mais pequenos.
