Rebecca Philipson cresceu numa cidade mineira em County Durham, Inglaterra, onde ainda vive. Terminou com louvor a licenciatura em Literatura Inglesa na Universidade de Northumbria e completou a pós-graduação enquanto estava em licença de maternidade. Em 2020, após ter lecionado Língua e Literatura em Newcastle e vendido o seu negócio, Rebecca dedicou-se exclusivamente à escrita. Em 2024, terminou o mestrado na Universidade de East Anglia e ganhou uma bolsa para o doutoramento em Escrita Criativa na Universidade de Liverpool.
No seu tempo livre, Rebecca gosta de tudo o que tenha que ver com livros, netball, viagens ou conviver com a família e os amigos.
