Rebecca Pawel

Rebecca Pawel nasceu em Nova Iorque, em 1977, e é descendente de judeus europeus. O primeiro contacto com a realidade ibérica dá-se no liceu, onde estudou dança clássica espanhola e flamenga. Após ter passado um Verão inteiro em Madrid, enquanto estudante, tornou-se numa aficionada pela história e cultura espanholas. Graduada pela Columbia University, Rebecca Pawel ensina Inglês, Espanhol e jornalismo na High School for Enterprise, Business ans Technology, em Brooklyn. Estudou Francês, Espanhol, Japonês e, mais recentemente, começou a aprender Alemão como pesquisa para o seu próximo romance. Para além de Morte de um Nacionalista, vencedor do Prémio Edgar para primeiro romance, escreveu também Law of Return, The Watcher in the Pine e The Summer Snow.
