Raynor Winn
Born in 1962, she is a British writer and avid long-distance hiker. In 2018, her husband, Moth, was diagnosed with corticobasal degeneration, a rare neurodegenerative disease, just days before a bad business deal led them to lose their home and livelihood. With nothing left to lose, they decided to walk the 1013 kilometers of the Southwest Coastal Way, an extraordinary journey that inspired her debut work, The Salt Trail, finalist for literary awards Wainwright Prize and Costa Book Prize, and winner of the award RSL Christopher Bland In 2019, Raynor Winn currently lives in Cornwall, England, where he writes about nature, homeless people, and our relationship with the earth.
