Dedicou-se a biografias como Bana – Uma Vida a Cantar Cabo Verde, A Infanta Rebelde e Manuel Vicente – A Desmontagem do Desconhecido mas também publicou crónicas de viagem: O Vento dos Outros, Sem Fim à Vista e Pés na Terra.
Nascida em Lisboa, licenciou-se em Direito. A sua ficção tem-se focado essencialmente no encontro de culturas ao longo da história refletindo a sua experiência enquanto atenta viajante.
