Peter Asmussen

Peter Asmussen was born in 1957 in Denmark.
His work spans various fields – theatre, fiction, film and opera librettos – and is published in several countries, including France, Italy and England.
In 2000, he received the prestigious Kjeld Abell Peter Award, a Danish prize given to individuals who excel in theater or film.
As a screenwriter, Asmussen achieved international recognition for his collaboration with Lars Von Trier on the film. Breaking the Waves.
In addition to The BeachAmong his plays are... Young Blood, Room with Sun, Burned by Ice and Crime.
Peter Asmussen died in 2016.
