Pedro Marquês De Sousa é tenente-coronel do Exército, mestre em História pela Faculdade de Letras da UL (2007), doutor pela Faculdade de Ciências Sociais e Humanas da UNL (2014) e pós-graduado em Direção e Gestão de Segurança pela UAL (2020). Participou na missão da ONU em Timor-Leste (2000-2001) e foi professor na Academia Militar e no Instituto Universitário Militar.
