Pedro Lind é investigador na Universidade de Osnabrück, onde trabalha em física estatística. Em 1999, licenciou-se em física pela Universidade de Lisboa, onde se doutorou, em 2003, em física-matemática. Desenvolveu trabalho científico e académico nas Universidades de Estugarda (Alemanha, 2004-2008), Lisboa (2008-2013) e Oldenburgo (Alemanha, 2013-2016). É autor de cerca de uma centena de textos, incluindo trabalho teórico na sua área, aplicações interdisciplinares em complexidade e textos de divulgação científica.
