Licenciado em Organização e Gestão de Empresas (primeiro curso) pelo ISCTE, parte escolar do mestrado/MBA da UNL (primeiro curso), DEA Sciences de Gestion pelo IAE de Bordéus, doutor em gestão com especialização em finanças pelo ISCTE. Docente do ISCTE desde o ano letivo 1977/1978, atualmente com a categoria de Professor Auxiliar. A sua área de interesse principal é a Análise e Avaliação de Empresas. Foi formador e diretor de cursos no CIFAG, CEMAF e INDEG. Foi fundador do Audax e da Science4You. Foi analista de projetos na Petroquímica e Gás de Portugal, assessor do Conselho de Administração dos grupos Sina e Fipar e Head of Resaerch da NCO Dealer.
