Pedro Leitão (n. Luanda, 1965) licenciou-se em Pintura pela Faculdade de Belas-Artes, da UL em 1993. Realizou exposições individuais de pintura, mas é à ilustração e à banda desenhada que se tem dedicado. Foi colaborador da revista infantil Rua Sésamo e tem editados, desde 1997, diversos livros para crianças, muitos com texto de Luísa Ducla Soares. Como autor de BD, iniciou, em 2004, a coleção As Aventuras de Zé Leitão e Maria Cavalinho, na editora Gailivro. Complementando o seu trabalho de autor de BD, realiza regularmente, em escolas e bibliotecas públicas, sessões de Animação à Leitura. Colabora também, desde 1995, com o dramaturgo e ator Paulo Lages, na criação e representação de espetáculos de Teatro com Livro e Leitura.
