Pedro Almeida Vieira nasceu na cidade portuguesa de Coimbra em 1969 e vive em Lisboa. Licenciado em Engenharia Biofísica na Universidade de Évora, divide o seu tempo entre o jornalismo, a investigação académica e a escrita. Entre outros periódicos, colaborou na revista Grande Reportagem e no semanário Expresso. Além de ensaios na área ambiental, publicou quatro romances (Nove Mil Passos, O Profeta do Castigo Divino, A Mão Esquerda de Deus e Corja Maldita), dois volumes de narrativas históricas (Crime e Castigo no País dos Brandos Costumes e Crime e Castigo - O Povo Não É Sereno) e diversos contos em revistas ou antologias.
