Patty Born Selly é autora de quatro livros para aqueles que trabalham com crianças, incluindo "Early Childhood Activities for a Greener Earth", "Teaching STEM Outdoors" e "Connecting Animals and Young Children", publicados pela Redleaf Press. Atualmente, ela leciona educação ambiental e STEM para educadores na formação inicial ou em exercício. Patty trabalha no campo da educação em ciências e natureza há mais de 25 anos, em salas de aula, museus, centros de natureza e parques, apoiando crianças e adultos desde a educação pré-escolar até a idade adulta, com um foco especial na primeira infância. Atualmente, ela ocupa o cargo de Professora Assistente de Educação Ambiental e STEM na Hamline University, em Saint Paul, Minnesota. Ela é a ex-Diretora do National Center for STEM Elementary Education e a sua paixão é ligar educadores, professores e crianças à natureza. Patty mora em Saint Paul com sua família.
