Patrícia Müller nasceu em Lisboa, em 1978. Estudou Comunicação Social, na Universidade Nova de Lisboa, e começou a vida profissional como jornalista da revista Elle. Colaborou com outros periódicos e estreou-se na televisão em 2000. Inaugurou a sua carreira de argumentista em 2002 e, desde então, tem escrito filmes, séries, telefilmes, novelas. Em 2014, lançou Madre Paula, romance histórico baseado na relação entre D. João V e uma freira de Odivelas. Uma Senhora Nunca é a sua primeira proposta totalmente ficcionada – aliás, parcialmente ficcionada, porque é uma história inspirada na bisavó da autora.
