Patrícia Freitas

Patrícia da Encarnação Freitas is a native of Madeira Island, where she was born in the city of Funchal on July 8, 1975. She spent her childhood in Ponta do Sol, moving with her family to Funchal at the age of 12. She graduated and worked in the tourism and transportation sector for 25 years, and currently works in sales. A childhood dream was to write books, a dream fulfilled with this work. She loves history, reading, hiking along the levadas (irrigation channels) and recommended tours of the island. Her various travels gave her the opportunity to learn about the history and culture of several countries, which provided the basis for sharing the history of her island.
