Entre eles destaca-se a série O Diário da Princesa (The Princess Diaries), publicada em mais de trinta países e adaptada ao cinema pela Walt Disney Pictures, com grandes sucessos de bilheteira.
As suas obras ganharam inúmeros prémios, incluindo o New York Public Library Books for Teen Age, o Booksense Pick, o Evergreen, o IRA/CBC Young Adult Choice, entre outros. Actualmente é autora bestseller de romances históricos.
