Ozeni Lima was born in Brazil in 1962. She is a civil servant and teacher, specializing in Portuguese Language and Literature. She has received several awards, including the Revelation in Literature of the Year award in 1997, from the Latin Culture Society in Brazil for her book of chronicles, Casaberta. In 2006, her books participated in several events in Munich, Germany, including: "Exhibition of Brazilian Books" at the Goethe Institut, and "Exhibition of Brazilian Authors and Illustrators for Children and Young People" at the Interim Theater. In January 2010, she was awarded a grant from PROAC - the Cultural Action Program of the state of São Paulo, State Secretariat of Culture. She received the publishing award for the young adult novel Busy Father, Guilty Son.
