Licenciado em Belas-Artes, na especialidade de pintura. Colaborou com o Departamento de Educação do Centro Galego de Arte Contemporânea (CGAC) no desenvolvimento do "Programa de Introdução à Arte Contemporânea". Com o seu primeiro trabalho de ilustração para o público infantil, intitulado "O coelhinho branco" e editado pela KALANDRAKA, recebeu o Prémio Nacional de Ilustração 1999 (Espanha). Esta obra foi incluída pelo Banco do Livro da Venezuela no catálogo dos Melhores Livros para Crianças do ano 2000. Para além deste título e de "A zebra Camila", tem ainda publicados na Kalandraka "Um bicho estranho", "Contos do mundo" e "Não há como escapar". Colabora ainda com outras editoras. www.ovillan.com
