Orlando Gomes é professor coordenador principal no Instituto Superior de Contabilidade e Administração do Instituto Politécnico de Lisboa (ISCAL-IPL). Doutorado em Economia pelo ISCTE-IUL em 2002, desenvolve o seu trabalho de investigação nas áreas da macroeconomia e da modelização do comportamento dos agentes económicos. É autor de mais de uma centena de artigos científicos, publicados em revistas nacionais e internacionais, bem como de vários livros e capítulos de livros sobre temáticas relacionadas com a economia.
