Orlando Castro

Orlando castro nasceu em 1954 em Angola, na então cidade de Nova Lisboa (Huambo) e é jornalista.
deixou na sua terra natal colaboração jornalística dispersa em Província de Angola, O Planalto, Olá! Boa Noite e Rádio Clube do Huambo.
Em 1975, ainda em Angola, publicou o livro de poemas Algemas da Minha Traição.
Em Portugal, onde chegou nos finais de 1975, colaborou com os jornais Pontual, O País, Templário, Jornal de Ramalde, Vida Social, Voz do Barreiro, RIT-Revista da Indústria Têxtil, (onde foi chefe de redação) e O Primeiro de Janeiro (onde foi editor da secção de economia).
Integrou ainda a Redação do Jornal de Noticias.

É autor de vários livros e Diretor-adjunto do jornal Folha 8 (Angola).
