Olivier Py
Olivier Py, born in 1965 in Grasse, is a French playwright and director. He is also an actor and director.
He enrolled at the National School of Arts and Techniques of Theatre and in 1987, at CNSAD. Olivier Py also studied philosophy and theology. He took over from Stéphane Braunschweig in 1998, and in 1997, he was appointed director of the National Drama Center of Orleans, where he created many remarkable performances.
Olivier Py was entrusted with directing the Avignon Festival in September 2013.
At the same time, he still has an international career as an opera director.
