Odilon Moraes nasceu em 1966, em São Paulo. Cresceu no interior do Estado entre os muitos bichos e plantas da sua mãe e tintas e pincéis do seu pai, que ainda hoje pinta nas horas vagas. Já ilustrou até hoje quase oitenta livros de autores nacionais, estrangeiros e alguns seus. Além de ilustrar, às vezes, escrever e, nas horas vagas, pintar, Odilon conduz oficinas de ilustração e história da ilustração de livros.
