Nuno Manuel Mendes Maia

Nuno Manuel Mendes Maia nasceu em Faro a 21 de Maio de 1956. Licenciou-se em Engenharia Mecânica no Instituto Superior Técnico em 1978. Exerceu actividade docente em 1979/80 na Universidade do Minho e após um período de experiência industrial ingressou no Instituto Superior Técnico, tendo concluído o Mestrado em 1985.
Em 1989 obteve o Doutoramento na Universidade de Londres e foi Professor Visitante na Universidade de Paris em 1993. É autor de numerosos artigos científicos nas áreas das Vibrações e Análise Modal. É Professor Associado do Departamento de Engenharia Mecânica do IST, sendo responsável pela cadeira de Vibrações e Ruído das licenciaturas em Engenharia Mecânica e Aeroespacial.
