Nuno Garoupa

He is a professor of Law and Associate Dean for Research at George Mason University, Antonin Scalia School of Law (since August 2018), and holder of Chair in Research Innovation, Global Catholic Law School (since 2015). He was a professor at Texas A&M University (2015-2018), the University of Illinois (2007-2015), the Nova University of Lisbon (2001-2007), and Pompeu Fabra University, Barcelona (1998-2001). He was President of the Francisco Manuel dos Santos Foundation (2014-2016) and is currently a member of its Board of Trustees. He is the author of more than one hundred and fifty academic publications in international law and economics journals and several books on legal systems. Recipient of the Julia'n Mari'as Prize, Community of Madrid (2010).
