Nojoud Ali foi a primeira criança a conseguir um divórcio no Iémen. Distinguida como uma das Mulheres do Ano pela Glamour em 2008, a sua história captou a atenção dos media internacionais e levou a que o Iémen adoptasse uma lei que estabelece a idade legal para casar nos dezassete anos. Vive actualmente no Iémen. Nojoud foi recentemente distinguida ao lado de Hillary Clinton e Condoleezza Rice como uma das Mulheres do Ano.
