Nicolas Digard começou por escrever livros antes de começar a escrever argumentos para desenhos animadas, em 2009. Em dezembro de 2011, participou no concurso de contos organizado pela Télérama aquando da Bienal de Lyon e conquistou o primeiro prémio. Fotógrafo amador, apaixonado por aves, foi nas suas inúmeras viagens que encontrou inspiração para escrever este texto delicado sobre os complexos e a magnífica diversidade da fauna.
