Doutorada em Ciências da Comunicação pela Universidade Católica Portuguesa é professora na mesma instituição e investigadora no Centro de Estudos de Comunicação e Cultura. Trabalhou vários anos como consultora de comunicação corporativa e política, verificando a necessidade de trazer o conhecimento destas áreas para o trabalho com movimentos sociais e organizações do setor não lucrativo. É autora de várias publicações sobre comunicação estratégica e organizacional, relações com os media e ativismo por direitos humanos.
