Miriam Assor nasceu em Lisboa e na juventude viveu num kibutz. Licenciada em Psicologia e em Comunicação, iniciou-se no jornalismo no semanário O Independente, e desde então colabora com vários periódicos na condição de jornalista freelance, tendo-se distinguido sobretudo pela escrita de peças jornalísticas relacionadas com a Shoah publicadas na revista Sábado. É autora de várias obras, entre as quais Aristides de Sousa Mendes – Um Justo Contra a Corrente, Judeus Ilustres de Portugal e Viagem aos Segredos da Maçonaria.
