Mikhail Gorbatchov

Mikhail Gorbatchov foi o último líder da União Soviética, tendo servido como secretário-geral do Partido Comunista de 1985 a 1991 e presidente da URSS de 1990 a 1991. O fim da Guerra Fria ficou a dever-se em grande medida à sua intervenção, mérito que lhe foi reconhecido com a atribuição do Prémio Nobel da Paz em 1990. Desde então, tem mantido um papel ativo no palco da política mundial através da Fundação Gorbatchov, uma organização sem fins lucrativos que promove a democracia e as iniciativas humanitárias a nível global.
