Miguel Gouveia é licenciado em Economia pela Universidade Católica Portuguesa e doutorado em Economia pela Universidade de Rochester (EUA). Lecionou na Universidade da Pensilvânia. É professor associado na Católica Lisbon School of Business and Economics, onde se tem dedicado ao ensino e à investigação nas áreas da economia pública, das políticas sociais e da economia da saúde, procurando criar teorias de aplicação prática.
