Miguel Delibes
Miguel Delibes Setién, Valladolid (1920-2010), was characterized by a literary production imbued with an ironic perspective, which he used to denounce social injustices and criticize the petty bourgeoisie. However, his work is not limited to mere social denunciation, but delves into the reminiscence of childhood and the representation of the habits and speech typical of the rural world, many of which he recovered for literature. Considered one of the great contemporary Spanish writers, his work has received numerous awards, including the Nadalthe Prince of Asturiasthe National Prize for Spanish Literature and the Cervantes.
