Miguel Carvalho
Miguel Carvalho, journalist, was born in Porto (1970).
He studied Radio Journalism, worked at Diário de Notícias (1989-1997), the weekly O Independente (1997-1999) and the magazine Visão (1999-2023). He won the Orlando Gonçalves Award (Journalism, in 2008 and 2020), the Gazeta Grand Prize, from the Journalists' Club (2009), the Gazeta Press Award (2022) and the Vicente Jorge Silva Excellence Journalism Award (2023). In addition to his journalistic work, which has been highlighted in the international press, he has also published seven books, including Quando Portugal ardeu and Amália - Ditadura e revolução, a história secreta, which have already totaled 12 editions. In recent years, he has dedicated much of his work to covering and researching right-wing radicalism in Portugal.
