Miguel Carvalho, jornalista, nasceu no Porto (1970).
Cursou Radiojornalismo, trabalhou no Diário de Notícias (1989-1997), no semanário O Independente (1997-1999) e na revista Visão (1999-2023). Venceu o Prémio Orlando Gonçalves (Jornalismo, em 2008 e 2020), o Grande Prémio Gazeta, do Clube dos Jornalistas (2009), o Prémio Gazeta de Imprensa (2022) e o Prémio Jornalismo de Excelência Vicente Jorge Silva (2023). Além do seu trabalho jornalístico, que tem merecido destaque na imprensa internacional de referência, publicou ainda sete livros, entre eles Quando Portugal ardeu e Amália - Ditadura e revolução, a história secreta, que somam já 12 edições. Nos últimos anos, tem dedicado grande parte dos seus trabalhos à cobertura e investigação do radicalismo de direita em Portugal.
