Miguel Almeida nasceu em Rãs, pequena aldeia do distrito de Viseu, em 1970, e fez o ensino básico e secundário em Sátão. Licenciado em Filosofia (Variante de Filosofia da Ciência) pela Faculdade de Letras da Universidade de Lisboa, onde também fez o Mestrado em Filosofia da Natureza e do Ambiente, exerce actualmente funções docentes na Escola Secundária Cacilhas-Tejo, em Almada. Vive na Costa da Caparica, com a mulher, Carla, e o filho, Gabriel, na proximidade poética da família e do mar. Está já a preparar futuros livros, nas áreas da prosa de ficção e da poesia.
