Melánie Cabral da Silva, natural de Assomada, ilha de Santiago, Cabo Verde, é licenciada em Literaturas, Línguas e Culturas-Estudos Ingleses, pela Universidade de Cabo Verde (UniCV), e pós-graduada em Jornalismo Económico e Informação financeira pela mesma Universidade.
Estagiou como jornalista de redação, na Tiver (Televisão Independente de Cabo Verde), mas escolheu prosseguir a carreira no ensino, e atualmente, trabalha como professora de Inglês.
Tem grande paixão pela escrita desde muito cedo, e vê a literatura como a arte mais bonita na qual se possa expressar.
Adora viajar, sair com os amigos, ver filmes, ouvir músicas, e escrever romances que serão publicados num futuro breve.
